Senior Consultant and Advisor, Strategic Human ResourcesJoy-Marie Modiega is a Strategic Human Resource Consultant with Leadership Education and Development (LEAD).  Joy-Marie has over twenty (20) years’ experience in Human Resource Management, fourteen (14) of which were at Executive /Senior leadership level where design of human resource enablers to support business results was her key focal point. The breadth of her Human Resource and leadership experience is drawn from various sectors, Government, Parastatal and the private sector, more specifically within the banking sector wherein both design and application of strategic human resource practices are a prerequisite to value based business partnering.  Joy-Marie has worked both in local and multinational companies with diverse business transformational structures and human resource needs that necessitated demonstrable capability in leadership development; learning and development; alignment of performance management systems to business results; reward and recognition; employee relations; talent and succession management; organisation design and driving employee engagement.  She holds various qualifications gained throughout her career that have supported her ability to empower business leaders with an integrated human resource strategy and approach that delivers results, as an internal business partner/consultant. She holds a Masters in Human Resource Management from Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Botswana. As part of ongoing learning she has participated in various development programs that include the Executive Development Program from the University of Stellenbosch; the Global Executive Reward learning program; and Leading in a Changing World, inter alia.  Joy – Marie’s change management practices, dealing with complexity and decision making impacts across various team levels with a span
