Balanced Scorecard Subject Matter Expert

Mr Cornelius Chirairo is currently the Managing Consultant of HROD Africa (Pty) Ltd a company registered in Botswana and operating across Southern Africa. HROD Africa was established to “enable organisational success” by providing integrated human resource management (HR) and organisational development (OD) solutions. Cornelius has a deep understanding of business and organisational behavior gained through a blend of consulting and hands-on senior management experience. Prior to joining the consulting field Cornelius held senior management posts including General Manager, Chief Executive Officer and GM Human Resources.

Cornelius received his bachelor’s and Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Zimbabwe. He is Kaplan and Norton Balanced Scorecard Certified, an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), UK as well as a registered trainer with the Botswana Training Authority (BoTA).

Cornelius has successfully completed significant HR and OD consulting projects in the public, quasi-government, non-governmental organization (NGO) and private sectors in Southern Africa. Some of the local projects include:

• Balanced Scorecard and PMS Implementation for Botswana Housing Corporation [BHC] (2008; 2010)
• Strategy, Balanced Scorecard and PMS Implementation for Air Botswana (2009 - 2010) 
• Corporate Strategy and Balanced Scorecard Development for Public Enterprises Evaluation and Privatization Agency [PEEPA] (2008-2009)
• Corporate Strategy Development for Debswana Pension Fund (2008)
• Departmental Strategic Plans and PMS Implementation for Government of Botswana [various Ministries] (2005-2006)

In addition to the above Cornelius has participated in other major interventions for such clients as Office of the Prime Minister (Namibia), Associated Fund Administrators, Lesotho Tourism Development Corporation, Botswana Tourism Board (BTB) and Botswana Non-bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Agency (NBFIRA).
